Thanks for the words of care and wisdom. I had a long overdue cry, did a bit of knitting, and got back to work. And this morning it hit me all at once that this situation is really the timely push I've been needing to put on my big girl panties (love that phrase), and take charge of my own well-being. Stop being afraid to succeed, quit shuffling around the self-effacing terrain of "small potatoes," and take a bunch of my eggs out of their volatile (albeit cozy) basket. Funny how dysfunctional families show up in all sorts of ways, isn't it?
Here's how my mood looks today:
And a GIP:
Like I said.... Xpress post.
I am so glad you're feeling better today. xo

My Mother had a teacup and saucer that are very similar to that. I can't recall, though, if the teacup with the blue flowers looks like yours, or if it's the teacup with the yellow flowers that looks more like yours. Either way, what a beautiful way to honor your repose.

Glad you got the big girl panties out of the drawer and put them on! Sometimes just acknowledging the dysfunction in the extended family takes all the whoosh out of it. Laugh at them, point your magic wand at them, and make them go away.
Nice stranding on the back of that hat! It is a hat, isn't it?? :-)

I'm glad you're feeling better. And I'm sure the 'long overdue cry' helped a lot. I remember reading in a children's book once that tears were the body's way of letting the hurt out of your heart. So now your heart should feel a little lighter and with your 'big girl panties' on, you can conquer the world! Go for it!!! :)
