On track to finish The Sweater tonight or tomorrow morning... though it will need wet blocking with a firm hand, so it may not be entirely dry by the Opening Ceremonies. I've decided that finished but damp counts! (We'd already decided to do the Opening Ceremonies in front of the tube with the kids and a bottle of bubbly, so no worries about wearing it out that day.) Since nobody is past the yoke yet, I'll blog it in installments once it's complete (have been knitting 8-12 hours a day since the weekend, so not a lot of blogging time. Or cleaning house or answering emails, or pretty much anything else.)
In the meantime, check out this lovely Olympic video. (I linked it a couple of days ago in Twitter, but I suspect most of my blog readers don't read the Twitter stream.)
I think my last comment was eaten by the webs. I started knitting along over the weekend and am near the end of the yoke. I'm usually a very slow knitter and this is my first sweater. It probably won't look much like yours, but I'm thoroughly enjoying going through the design process with you. I'm looking forward to the next installment and how you go about dividing the sections. Thanks for sharing your project and inspiring me. :)

Hey, this sounds great, can't wait to see it. Due to the time shift the opening ceremonies for us will be at 3 am tonight (saturday morning)-so definitely without me. Knittingwise I have more than one olympic challenge as I hope to get some things finished, small and big. So it is ok for me to wait a bit longer for the continuing of my special olympic sweater (I did the horizontal braid and one row after that following the picure you posted last time but haven't dared to continue freestyle), though I had hoped you would be able to post how you continued with yours before this weekend -our computer has died and I won't be able to check up what you post from this afternoon- and I am home alone with the doggies sat and sun but there will be still be enough knitting time during next week, so take your time. And have a great time! Soak in the Games!

Glad to hear knitting is getting in the way of blogging rather than being sick. Enjoy the games.
