Dyeing shall now recommence. With vigour.
Whistler is rife with rich people renovating their kitchens, and money is tight, so we intially held out for an inexpensive second hand option. And kept missing. As the days turned into weeks, I couldn't help but point out that Not Dyeing was generating essentially the same effect as Spending Money. (We weren't missing it in dire fashion for cooking, since it's still barbecue weather here.)
Rob did some magnificent research with the help of Consumer Reports and we wound up spending about half what we thought we'd have to, and...perhaps I shouldn't jinx it by saying too much because it only got here a couple of hours ago.
Anyway, it came highly recommended, it boiled the kettle with aplomb just now, and I shall put it through its paces tomorrow!
We have a similar one except ours is 4 not 5 burners and I really like it. Good luck with the dyeing.

Do let us know how it works. I'm hunting for a new stove myself, and I've heard some things about the flat-tops that make me hesitant to get one to use for dyeing and canning - anything that involves heating large pans of water.

And it has a self-cleaning oven. Good job, Rob!!!

Nice looking stove. I've wanted a flat-top for ages.

Beautiful stove. A couple things I really like about it as opposed to some other flat tops I have seen. It has 5 burners, but one very large, one sort of large and 3 small. Also like the fact that the burner areas are so clearly defined. Some you really have to look hard to see the actual burner areas. I do hope it works super for you. Looks like it should. The oven must be great as well.

Good luck keeping the stove top clean. Or maybe you know that you have to wipe every speck up right away? (DH has ruined ours) Avoid overflowing pots, the overflow cooks on wonderfully!
