It was a little fraught getting out the door this year - I guess the older you get, the more Exactly Right the costume has to be and unwelcome concessions to the freezing damp are negotiated with an eye to just how much grief the principal of natural consequences is going to cost the parental units (not to mention the more compliant sibling.)
Nevertheless, the community block party was grand as usual, and all was well once the candy began to flow.
Nothing like a flaming pumpkin to lift the spirits.
Great pics -- Even the "displeased" witch. I was expecting to see what the "Crazy old yarn lady" looked like--------- neat the community goes all out, which makes for safe fun. Now to keep down the sugar highs!
