I know them as Mexican Wedding Cakes - a lovely grown-up cookie that's still sweet and marvelous with a cup of tea! You're inspiring them to make them this year.

Thanks for sharing your recipe! I was going to make these tonight from the Martha Holiday cookies magazine, but they called for cinnamon and that didn't sound right. I'm glad to see you don't use that. Beautiful pictures. I love the blue jay on the next (?) post.
