The yarn is all photographed (a surprisingly long and tedious task) but before I got much further than that, the children whirled into the house in a flurry of frayed nerves and reactive tears. Consequently, I'll be engaging in high level parenting rather than completing the store update tonight. There is (yet another!) teacher professional day tomorrow which means that conventional productivity is off the table but I should be able to rise early and work on the site with a clear mind while the kids sleep in.
As for the ornament... it is indeed my own design / improvisation, and I'll see about writing it up properly when I make another. It is quite simple to knit, since I was in no mood for fiddly things when I made it.
In the meantime, the Wild Kingdom outside our window continues to delight and entertain - the Whiskey Jacks are new favorites, with their soft whiskery faces and gracious manners.
You're photos of the Whiskey Jack make me unaccountably happy.

It pains me to hear what a difficult time you have been having lately. But inspirational at the same time that you can so determinedly find such beauty in your world at the same time.

Again, your pictures are amazing. It is so hard when our kids hurt - it is like our own hearts are being torn to bits. But the drama does pass and good days follow. :) I'd love to know what sort of camera you use.

Birdy num num cracked me up! My (now grown) kids watch that movie and they love it too.
As for your bird photos, they are divine. May we ask for the photo info i.e., camera, lens and exposure? Your bird shots are awesome. I have a hard time getting mine quite so sharp.

What kind of lens are you using? You are an extraordinarily gifted photographer. The detail on the feathers had me gasping in amazement. Stunning -- like your yarn.
