We've had a wee spell of Arctic outflow over here on the Pacific coast, resulting in some impressively low temperatures. Whenever that happens, Fitzsimmons Creek freezes into great lumps and swirls of blue-green ice, forming around the boulders at the banks and the creekbed. It is an an impressive display of crashing, primal Cold.
The icicles hanging from the covered bridge seem positively welcoming by contrast.
beautiful!

Well, thank goodness there's a Canadian chiming in on this wintry weather with a bit of respect!
Those of us *just* south of the border were feeling just a bit short of hardy, here.
